FOLIUM FUGIT was created in 2017 when they decided to embark on a common path with a double intention, that of enjoying music together and celebrating, above all, the life.
They have played the absolute premieres of works by composers such as Gabriel Erkoreka, José Luís Turina and Leandro Lorrio, in addition to premiering in Spain works by Alexandros Markeas or Friedrich Cerha.
They have performed concerts for the X Current Music Cycle of Badajoz (supported by the CNDM), Vostell Museum in Malpartida de Plasencia, X BBVA Foundation Contemporary Music Concert Cycle and the II Almonacid del Marquesado International Music Festival.

He finished his higher studies at the “Óscar Esplá” conservatory in Alicante with the highest marks, obtaining the extraordinary final degree award in both the saxophone and chamber music specialties. He has been awarded in different national and international competitions, Xàtiva (2000 and 2001), Benidorm (2002 and 2006), Alicante Concert Society (2002), Euterpe Award (2002), Huelma (2005), among others. His participation in the “Jean-Marie Londeix Competition”, held in 2011 in Bangkok (Thailand), stands out.
In the field of chamber music, he formed a duo with the pianist Àngels Máñez, he has been a member of “Kammermusik ensemble” and “Purpura Pansa”. He collaborates with the chamber orchestra «Saetabis», and has participated in festivals such as the «Mediterranean Saxophone Days», «Luci Toscane» (Italy), «Giulio Turchetti» (Italy), among others.
Since 2012, he has been teaching as a saxophone teacher at the Professional Conservatory «Lluís Milan» in Xàtiva.

David Alonso Serena performs his musical studies in the specialty of saxophone at the Conservatorio ¨Mestre Vert¨ in Carcaixent and the Conservatorio Superior de Música ¨Joaquin Rodrigo¨ in Valencia, obtaining the Extraordinary Prize for Medium and Superior Degree, and the “Mercedes Massí ”for the best Higher Grade Academic Record.
He has stood out in various international competitions, first prizes in Limoge (France), Benidorm, Tortosa, twice awarded in Dinant (Belgium).
He has performed as a soloist with the Orcheste Royal Wallonie, Orquesta de Extremadura, Ensemble Squillante. Duet with the pianist Lucjan Luc. He has performed with the big band Sedajazz, the Valencia Orchestra, JONDE, the RTVE Orchestra, the Galician Symphony Orchestra, the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra, and collaborates regularly with the National Orchestra of Spain.He is currently a professor at the Official Conservatory of Music «Hermanos Berzosa» in Cáceres

End of Degree Honor Award RCSMM 1997 (Manuel Miján class). He has been a soloist in the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra in addition to collaborating with the RTVE Orchestras, the Community of Madrid and “Andrés Segovia”. He is awarded the 1st Prize in the 2002 Benidorm International Competition.
As a soloist, he offers concerts and recitals in many International Festivals: Palma International Music Festival, Sczecin International Saxophone Festival (Poland), IX International Festival of Ancient Music in Gijón, Palau de la Música in Valencia, V Iberoamerican Congress of Composers, Conductors and Arrangers of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, Palmela International Saxophone Festival 2012 (Portugal), International Saxophone Academy (Porto- Portugal), XI Capvern Musical Encounters (France), XII World Saxophone Congress (Montreal – Canada ), etc.
He has been a saxophone teacher at the Basque Country Conservatory of Music (Musikene) between 2007-2014. Professor of the Municipal Symphonic Band of Albacete since 1994, he is currently a professor at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Castilla la Mancha since 2018.

DAVID PONS - BARITONE SAXOPHONE
Graduated from the RCSMM in Pedagogy and Interpretation of the saxophone with Honor registration. Master in Cultural Management from the University of Alcalá de Henares and Master in Musical Research from the Valencia International University. Awarded in numerous international competitions both Individual and Chamber Music. He has collaborated with the Community of Madrid Orchestra, the Valencia Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Spain.
He has published the «Original» CD with the Octavia saxophone quartet, «Alma» with the pianist Sonia Sifres and «Lu-2 Tonalis» with the pianist Manuel Jesús Corbacho.
Professor of Saxophone and Chamber Music at the CSM of Castilla-La Mancha between 2013-2018. He is currently Professor and Deputy Director at the “Conservatorio Superior de Música de Murcia”.
